There is easy access across country, via Gidley Cross, to the A361 North Devon link road and thence via Tiverton to junction 27 of the M5 motorway, beside which is Tiverton Parkway Station providing regular mainline connections to London (Paddington). Accessed via the A377 through Crediton is the university and cathedral city of Exeter where there is an international airport. To the north the A377 leads to Barnstaple on the North Devon coast.
