Gascoigne Halman are recognised as one of the region's leading privately owned independent firms offering homes and property for sale in South Manchester, North Cheshire and the High Peak.
The company was formed in 1990 and opened with offices in Wilmslow and Prestbury. At a time when the larger companies were struggling, Gascoigne Halman were able to grow as a result of a professional service combined with friendly, local management and staff offering a wealth of experience and expertise in house transfer and the business of estate agency.
More recently, our dynamic and forward-thinking approach has meant that we have kept pace with technological developments. We have introduced computer-based systems into our office network which enables us to give regular feedback whilst properties are on the market.
We also have a Residential Lettings department providing a complete homes and property letting service from valuation to property management once the house is let. Our Land and New Homes Department is recognised by the majority of major house builders in the region. For the house purchase we offer a wide range of new homes on many developments throughout the North Cheshire and South Manchester region.

The large number of mortgages we place each month enables us to negotiate special lower rates with certain building societies, although our independent status enables us to place your mortgage with any building society, bank or financial institution which may have a specific package available to suit your particular needs.
If you are purchasing a home you'll need an unbiased, professional assessment of its condition by a qualified surveyor or valuer. We have a Survey Department which can carry out a survey to suit your needs.
In our professional capacity many of our staff are welcomed into the homes of people across the region and, as a result, have always felt very much part of the local community. Over the years we have become involved with many local charities including The Royal School for the Deaf in Cheadle Hulme, and we have also run competitions with local schools to raise funds for them. Our support for national charities has included fundraising for Children in Need, the David Lewis National Centre for Epilepsy (DLCE), and more recently The Together Trust. During a recent year long 'charity challenge' we raised almost �23,000 for the DLCE with every office in the Gascoigne Halman network taking part. Challenges ranged from a 'wacky races' style baton challenge where a baton was passed from office to office using unusual forms of transport, running the Wilmslow Half Marathon, a sky dive for the more adventurous and a 'Changing Rooms' transformation for a relaxation room at the Centre. For Children in Need and the DLCE significant amounts were raised when vendors agreed to have specially designed For Sale boards put up outside their homes - thanks to all of you who supported us in this way. Money was raised for The Together Trust when staff participated in a charity 'It's a Knockout' event.
