Uservoice.com, your answer to getting user feedback.

Uservoice is a platform that allows you to get direct feedback from the people using your website. A similar system to Kampyle which we reviewed previously. Let me tell you more…

It took us about 15 minutes to get setup, it’s a third party application that can be installed easily inside your content management system and it’s free to small business (you) , startups and non-profits.
Anyway, how does this system apply to my business?
Let’s say you’re running a local property agency with 5 offices. According to your website analytics reporting, you are getting 30k users a month with a 2% conversion rate. You would then be asking yourself things like -
- How do I increase my conversion rate ?
- What is turning people off on my website ?
- What do they like to see ? Maybe video ?
- Is there content they would like to see that I do not provide? For example, guides to the local area that are updated by my local staff ( who are the experts right !!!??? )
In the web world content is king, but knowledge is power. If you think that there is an opportunity (there is) to change that static brochure property site into a fully-functional lead generation juggernaut, then feedback from those 30k users a month is where you will probably find the insight you need to power your site into 2009 and beyond.
We’re going to try it ourselves and then we’ll review the results in a couple months.
