How’d you like to sell to a Russian Oligarch?

Written by Mike Carter on August 28, 2008

According to Tech Crunch and comScore, the biggest growth in European internet users is coming from Russia. With the UK property market in free-fall, it is no wonder that looking to buyers from abroad becomes very attractive to agents here in the UK. It’s part of the reason why Zoomf has partnered with one of the leading property engines in the Russian market. More to come on that later.

If you’re an estate agent trying to attract Russian buyers, we’d love to hear about your success so far.

With the current upset in South Ossetia will the Russian Oligarch UK buying trend continue?

I imagine it will but I would be wary as it is already looking like there could be ramifications for trade.

There is a recent article which states that the Russians are no longer trusting the UK and, UK buyers are no longer looking at Russia. I will try and dig it out and post it on my blog (www.jewarblog.com) - I suspect the threat of another cold war (albeit an economic one).
