The importance of detailed property descriptions
This morning I read a post from Geek Estate blog about the importance of agents providing as much detail in their descriptions of properties as possible. Here at Zoomf couldn’t agree more with this.
All of the properties on our site have their descriptions matched against a pre-defined list of keywords which people are interested in when searching for property such as ‘garden’ or ‘open plan’. We then let the user select any number of these keywords as part of their search criteria and only show the properties which contain some or all of those keywords.
If the description for a property doesn’t say the property has a garden, it will never get included in the search results when a user is looking for a garden. This means that a user which is particularly interested in properties with gardens will never see the property which could be ideal for them. The bottom line for agents is that they may miss out on a sale, simply because they didn’t write a detailed enough description.
You can try out Zoomf keyword searches by expanding the keywords section on the left hand side of any results page, for example this search for open plan properties in Chelsea a river view.
